Kip Center Festival of Trees

November 12 - December 14 at the Kip Center

55 Kip Center’s 25th Annual Festival of Trees, Wreaths and Centerpieces will begin Tuesday, November 12, 2019. A favorite tradition in the community, the Festival of Trees fundraiser is the perfect venue to enjoy a beautiful holiday display of trees, wreaths, and centerpieces that are decorated by local individuals, organizations and business.


Raffle tickets went on sale Tuesday, November 12th at 26 tickets for $10. The winning tickets will be pulled on Saturday, December 14th. For more information call Cathy 201.460.1600.

2020 Census Information Session

Friday, December 6, 2019, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Rutherford Public Library

Spoonman

Friday, December 6, 2019, 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm at the Rutherford Public Library

The Rutherford Public Library will present the Spoonman, who will present a hilarious, interactive comedy show for ages 4 and up. The Spoonman, who will visit all the way from Michigan, has played the spoons all over the world. He has performed for world leaders and celebrities and can't wait to amaze you. No registration required.


Advanced ESL

Saturday, December 7, 2019, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Rutherford Public Library

Registration is required. For ESL students who are beyond the beginner level.

Jinglefest

Saturday, December 7 at 10:00 am - 3:00 pm at Rutherford United Methodist Church, 56 West Passaic Avenue

Unique Vendors, Great Prices, Free Raffles, Fun for Kids, Free Photos with Santa (12:00 pm -1:30 pm), and Tasty Cafe cheer.



Visit the Meadowlands Museum

Saturday, December 7 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Meadowlands Museum is open every Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Come see where your history lives. Donation $5 adults, $3 children. 91 Crane Avenue, Rutherford, NJ 201-935-1175. www.MeadowlandsMuseum.com


The Museum is home to the largest collection of historical artifacts of the Meadowlands Region of NJ, and includes a special exhibit on Notable Women of the Meadowlands (on exhibit until September 2019), and permanent exhibits on the geology of the Meadowlands Region, antique toys and dolls, a pre-electric kitchen, antique tools, and an exhibit dedicated to the life and work of Dr. William Carlos Williams – the area’s famous doctor/poet. The Museum is housed in one of oldest Dutch farmhouses of southern Bergen County, and was a private home until the Museum purchased the property in 1974.

Rutherford Community Band Holiday Concert

Saturday, December 7th @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Join the Rutherford Community Band for their annual Holiday Concert! They'll feature classics such as Leroy Anderson's Christmas Festival and Irving Berlin's White Christmas along with newer settings of your favorite holiday songs. Snow Date: Monday, December 9th 8 pm

Woman's Club of Rutherford Holiday Tea

Sunday, December 8th at 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Woman’s Club of Rutherford’s Holiday Tea will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 2 pm – 5 pm at the Woman’s Club of Rutherford’s Clubhouse (201 Fairview Avenue). $30 per person.

Enjoy the company of friends while you participate in an old-fashioned afternoon tea – including scones, tea sandwiches, pastries, a variety of teas and more! If you wish, dress up in your best Tea Party attire and/or hat and participate in our hat contest! Visit their famous Granny’s Attic. Read more about the event here.

Christmas Concert

Sunday December 8th at 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Community of God’s Love

70 West Passaic Avenue

On Sunday, December 8, 2019, from 3pm to 5pm, the public is invited to join the Community of God’s Love for “A Community of Christmas: A Festival of Song.” The concert will take place at Visitation House, and will feature members of the Community’s Music Ministry. Santa is expected. If you are bringing children under 14, call the secretary at 201-935-0344 to give their names and ages, so that Santa can provide an appropriate gift. Admission is free.

Sean Moran 1st Annual Christmas Gala

Saturday, December 14th at 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm at Il Villaggio

There is still time to get your Christmas Gala tickets! This is a fundraising event to benefit St. Mary CYO. Tickets: $150 available at smcyohoop.com or Coach.
