Woman's Club Annual Holiday Tea

This year the Woman’s Club of Rutherford will be hosting their tenth popular Holiday in Rutherford Afternoon Tea. This year all are welcome to participate on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Woman’s Club Clubhouse at 201 Fairview Avenue from 2-5 pm.

Co-President of the Woman’s Club, Sue Kevra, explained, “The Holiday Tea Party is a wonderful way to get into the festive spirit while bringing family and friends together to celebrate the season. It’s very special because our members decorate each table individually with the holiday theme. We provide a lovely afternoon for the guests while fundraising for our charities and the maintenance of the historic Carriage House that has become a landmark in our community.”

Along with a variety of tea flavors, there will be scones with clotted cream, tea sandwiches, cookies and pastries.There will also be a Woman’s Club Treasures Table set up where holiday gifts can be purchased. The ladies who attend the event often wear hats. Tickets are $30 and may be purchased (in advance only) by calling Sue Kevra at 201-893-6866.

The proceeds will benefit local charities, including Rutherford student scholarships, Rutherford’s home for the developmentally disabled, Bergen County CASA, and the restoration of our Nationally Registered Historic Carriage House.
