About four years ago, This is Rutherford interviewed Emmy-award winning nonfiction producer, director, and writer, Bill Einreinhofer. Read the article here. Since that interview, Einreinhofer has been busier than ever working on a number of different documentaries, including the documentary that culminates all of the stories he has collected while researching and working abroad in China.

Einreinhofer explains, "For 30+ years I’ve been creating stories in and about China. The culmination of that experience is a new documentary called China: Frame by Frame. It is airing this month on local PBS stations, as part of their special Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month programming. It makes its national premiere on Public TV's WORLD Channel on Thursday May 25. It is also available on the Free PBS App."

For this major documentary project, Einreinhofer collaborated with Evgenia Vlasova. Their previous documentaries were seen on 250+ Public TV stations, aired by international broadcasters and are available on various digital platforms including Amazon Prime and MagellanTV.
