Rutherford Day 2026

Rutherford Day takes place every fall in the Borough of Rutherford. It is a wonderful day when community organizations, service groups, businesses and clubs in Rutherford gather in Lincoln Park and along Park Avenue to share more about who they are and what they have to offer the community.
This year's Rutherford Day will take place on Saturday, September 26th from 12 pm until 5 pm. Afterwards, Park Avenue will be closed from 6-10 pm for the last Dining Out of the season. Super Trans Am with local favorite, James McGill, will perform from the stage set up at the intersection of Park Avenue and Ridge Road by Village Wines at 7 pm.
Mayor Frank Nunziato told This is Rutherford, "I'm looking forward to a great day and I appreciate all the hard work done by our public information officer, Kim Bogosian. I'm fortunate that Kim took my vision following COVID and the issues that came with having an event the size of the Labor Day street fair and helped create something just for Rutherford. This is a big event with a lot of moving parts from vendors to sponsors and everything in between. Kim and the team of Borough employees take time on top of their regular duties to create a phenomenal day for residents."
Organizations such as the Junior Woman's Club of Rutherford, the Lions Club of Rutherford, RHS All Sports Booster Club, Rutherford Chamber of Commerce/ This Is Rutherford, Rutherford Elks Lodge #547, Rutherford Historic Preservation Society, The Friends of the Library, the Woman's Club of Rutherford, and many more will have tables and activities at the event.
There will be businesses such as LOL Yards, Jersey Drains, The Little Play Cafe, Felician University, Columbia Bank, Black Belt America of Rutherford, Backstage PAC, BCB Bank, and others will also attend Rutherford Day.
"Last year's Rutherford day was one of the best days I've ever been part of in the Borough and I am looking forward to an even bigger event this year. The first Rutherford Day in 2021 had 30 vendors . By August we had about 100 vendors for this year and the enthusiasm for the day is bigger than I've ever seen. I can't wait," explained Public Information Officer and organizer of Rutherford Day, Kim Bogosian.
