Rutherford Public Library Hosts September 11th Memorial Display

Information submitted by Gretchen Corsillo, Library Director

The Rutherford Public Library will be hosting a poster exhibition September 11, 2001: The Day That Changed the World commemorating the 20th anniversary of the attacks. This project is made possible by the 9/11 Memorial & Museum and the National Endowment for the Humanities. The content includes an overview of the attacks, their historical significance, and how they continue to impact the world 20 years later.

The 14-poster exhibit will be displayed in the Library’s upstairs classroom area beginning September 8th and will remain up for the full month of September. Each poster contains archival photos and historical context from the museum. Viewers will also have access to a QR code that links to special interactive materials that go along with the exhibit, including resources for children. The Library will also have related books and stories from Rutherford residents on display throughout the month.
