Rutherford Celebrating the World Cup

People in our own community, surrounding communities, and worldwide have World Cup fever. Many restaurants, hair salons, and other businesses are adorned with soccer and world flag decorations. Rutherford has embraced the proximity of these World Cup games and the enthusiasm that comes along with viewing these games from the field or on a screen.

The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce, along with the Borough of Rutherford, has organized this summer's only Dining Out on Wednesday, June 17th (rain date: June 18th). As usual, restaurants will have tables on the street where people are welcome to dine. While dining there will be a variety of different musicians playing at different locations along Park Ave.

During Dining Out Rutherford, the Rutherford FC Soccer will be hosting a soccer tournament on Ames Ave. The tournament will include Rutherford FC teams competing against one another during a fun-filled event celebrating the love of soccer.

Felician University will be hosting a few events focused on soccer and the World Cup. There will be two soccer-themed movie nights on June 19th and July 11th. There will also be a Skills & Drills Event on campus on July 11th. On June 24th, there will be an invitation-only Kick-Off at the Castle at Iviswold Castle.
