On Saturday, October 28th, families gathered at Rutherford High School to begin marching toward Lincoln Park where the spectators and judges could not wait to see their creative costumes. The Masters of Ceremonies, Councilman Ray Guzman and Councilwoman Maria Begg-Roberson, welcomed everyone including Mayor Frank Nunziato, Council President Stephanie McGowan, and Councilwoman Christie Del-Rey Cone. Chief John Russo, First-Ambulance Corps EMT Catherine O'Keefe, Perri Nunziato, Board of Education member Diane Jones, Jennifer Mazone, and Board of Education member Dennis Mazone were the judges for the event. The Rutherford Recreation Department, including Pat Bonner, Maureen Bigley, and Janice Guzman, were publicly thanked for organizing this massive event with over 100 participants.
Although the judges had very difficult choices to make, they did select ten winners and one Grand Prize Winner.
