Event Recap: Treefest 2019

On Saturday, April 27th, the Rutherford Shade Tree Commission hosted its 3rd annual event to celebrate Arbor Day and the borough of trees in Lincoln Park. Sponsored by BCB Bank, there were 2 live bands - "Luke and the Troublemakers" and "Kimon and the Prophets" - a beer garden run by the Rutherford PBA supplied by the Rutherford Wine Shoppe, a BBQ station run by Engine Co 3 fire and rescue, several tables of Rutherford committees and clubs, craft vendors and local businesses including the new Top That Donut Shop were among the participants. Cliffhanger production supplied the bungee jump and the bounce house for the kids. The commission is already looking forward to planning the 4th Annual Treefest next year.
