Celebrating a Leap Year Birthday

Close friends and family gathered at Paisano's Restaurant for lunch in Rutherford to celebrate a special birthday on February 29, 2020. Doreen Mondadori (Sheridan) was born on February 29, 1956, in Margaret Hague Hospital in Jersey City, NJ at 12:10 am to Virginia and John Sheridan of Secaucus, NJ after moving from Hoboken a few months earlier.

Doreen and her husband, Steven Mondadori, have three children Andrea Llauget (Mondadori), Dawn Snyder (Mondadori) and Leah Miller (Mondadori).

There were approximately forty-five people at the party celebrating Doreen's birthday. Everyone did a candle ceremony that is typically done at a sweet 16 party. Doreen watched as each of the sixteen candles on the cake were lit while her family roasted her. Doreen's best friend, Maureen LaFaso, wrote the entire speech. Virginia Sheridan, Doreen's ninety-six-year-old Grandma, was also in attendance.
