Uncorked Event Honors Veterans

By Jennifer Ersalesi

Across the country, Veterans Day is recognized on November 11th. Rutherford is a community that honors its local veterans. Throughout the Borough, there are banners displaying photos of our local heroes and information about their military service. To learn more about some of our "local heroes", click here. To honor our local veterans, the Rutherford Chamber will host its first event in nearly two years on Veterans Day.

“Uncorked at the 18th Amendment” is a charity wine tasting event that will benefit Rutherford veterans. This special event will take place on Veterans Day at 6:00 PM. "The sacrifice that our veterans have made to serve and protect our country is something that the Rutherford community is so grateful for and we want to show our gratitude by supporting our veterans on Veterans Day," explained Rutherford Chamber member Dan Meredith of the Dan Meredith Allstate Agency. Tickets are $40 for an evening of wine, food, and good company to support the Rutherford Veterans. There will be a 50/50 drawing and prizes. All proceeds will go to the Rutherford Veterans Alliance, American Legion, and the VFW.

The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce has a brand new website. Tickets for the “Uncorked at the 18th Amendment” event can be purchased on the website on the event page. Click here to purchase tickets.
