Treat yourself to a great family event at Union Middle School and come see Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr. This musical features updated songs from the original animated motion picture. Alice meets a White Rabbit who peaks her curiosity. She follows him and comes across many other interesting characters along her way, such as the Dodo Bird, Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, the Caterpillar and the infamous Queen of Hearts.

Director, Margaret MacFadyen-Doty, explained "Students were cast and received scripts in November and began weekly rehearsals at the start of January. We rehearsed 3 days a week initially and have been going 5 days a week now for the last 3 weeks. I think that the most enjoyable part of this experience for the students is getting to work alongside their friends and also seeing the production come together. It has been a lot of work! So many in the cast have gone above and beyond doing things like choreographing dance numbers and offering suggesting and ideas for stage setup and line delivery. In addition, we have a whole crew of students that are running lights and the soundboard, as well as taking care of set pieces and props. Finally, the entire backdrop was designed, sketched, and painted by a team of students. It really is a team effort!"

This one hour musical is an entertaining adventure for all ages. Tickets are $7 and available at the door.
