Kip Center Festival of Trees

November 12 - December 14 at the Kip Center

55 Kip Center’s 25th Annual Festival of Trees, Wreaths and Centerpieces will begin Tuesday, November 12, 2019. A favorite tradition in the community, the Festival of Trees fundraiser is the perfect venue to enjoy a beautiful holiday display of trees, wreaths, and centerpieces that are decorated by local individuals, organizations and business.


Raffle tickets went on sale Tuesday, November 12th at 26 tickets for $10. The winning tickets will be pulled on Saturday, December 14th.

Spanish Storytime

It's Spanish Storytime! Hear stories in Spanish, told by ESL teacher Miss Tati! No registration required.

Advanced ESL

Saturday, November 16th, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Rutherford Public Library

Dollhouse Raffle

Saturday, November 16th at 3:00 pm at the Meadowlands Museum

The Meadowlands Museum is raffling off a beautiful three story Georgian style doll house with six rooms that are fully furnished.

Tickets are $5.00 each and will be available starting at the Rutherford Labor Day Street Fair on September 2nd at the Museum's booth on Lincoln Avenue, and then through Museum Board Members or at the Meadowlands Museum (201) 935-1175.

The drawing will take place at 3 pm on November 16th. (Winner need not be present on day of draw.)

The doll house comes complete with swinging open front door and second floor room door, flower boxes on the outside windows and a potted plant for the door steps, two interior staircases, and a rocking horse in the nursery. The study includes among other things a book shelf with books, classic wooden desk chair, classic desk lamps and a globe that revolves in it's wooden stand. The kitchen includes pots for the stove, and a child's high chair among it's furnishings. The bathroom includes a pedestal sink and claw foot tub. This is a doll house that makes a wonderful holiday present for any young girl (or adult).

All proceeds go to the ongoing operations of the Meadowlands Museum which is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. Raffle License # 439-5-27625/Municipal RL 1942.

Community Swim Night

Friday, November 16th at 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm at RHS

The Rutherford Swim Association is pleased to announce community swim day. They invite all the members of our shared community to come out and enjoy the wonderful pool.

Rutherford High School Presents "Radium Girls"

Friday, November 15th and Saturday, November 16th at 7:30 pm in the RHS Auditorium

Students at Rutherford High School will be performing this play this upcoming weekend under the direction of RHS Vocal Music Teacher, Mrs. Patricia Blanchard. The play deals with Marie Curie’s discovery of the element, radium, which was used to cure diseases and to paint luminous watches.


Rutherford Junior Football & Cheering hosting the 2019 MFL Super Bowl

Saturday, November 16 at 2:00 pm at Memorial Field, 1 Darwin Ave

Rutherford will host the 2019 MFL Super Bowl at Memorial Field. You don’t want to miss the next great set of high school football players to attend Hasbrouck Heights, New Milford & Rutherford High Schools.


Admission gates will open at 12:30 pm and the price of tickets are $1 Seniors/Military, $2 Children & $3 Adults. There is residential parking and lot parking at the corner of Monona Ave & Darwin Ave. For more up to date info, please go to www.meadowlandsfootball.net.

Visit the Meadowlands Museum

Saturday, November 16th @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Museum is home to the largest collection of historical artifacts of the Meadowlands Region of NJ, and includes a special exhibit on Notable Women of the Meadowlands (on exhibit until September 2019), and permanent exhibits on the geology of the Meadowlands Region, antique toys and dolls, a pre-electric kitchen, antique tools, and an exhibit dedicated to the life and work of Dr. William Carlos Williams – the area’s famous doctor/poet. The Museum is housed in one of oldest Dutch farmhouses of southern Bergen County, and was a private home until the Museum purchased the property in 1974.
