Spanish Storytime

Friday, December 20, 2019, 10:30 am - 11:30 am at the Rutherford Public Library - Glass Room

Join the library for Spanish Storytime! Hear stories in Spanish, told by ESL teacher Miss Tati. No registration required.




American Dream Mall Santa Pictures

Visit American Dream for a complimentary photo with Santa through December 24th. Donations benefiting Make-A-Wish® New Jersey, our holiday non-profit partner, are encouraged. Photos with Santa will be available in the Events Court A at your convenience, with no appointments required.

Visit the Meadowlands Museum

Saturday, December 21 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Meadowlands Museum is open every Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Come see where your history lives. Donation $5 adults, $3 children. 91 Crane Avenue, Rutherford, NJ 201-935-1175. www.MeadowlandsMuseum.com


The Museum is home to the largest collection of historical artifacts of the Meadowlands Region of NJ, and includes a special exhibit on Notable Women of the Meadowlands (on exhibit until September 2019), and permanent exhibits on the geology of the Meadowlands Region, antique toys and dolls, a pre-electric kitchen, antique tools, and an exhibit dedicated to the life and work of Dr. William Carlos Williams – the area’s famous doctor/poet. The Museum is housed in one of oldest Dutch farmhouses of southern Bergen County, and was a private home until the Museum purchased the property in 1974.

Blue Christmas Service

Saturday, December 21st at 5:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 1 E. Passaic Ave, Rutherford

On Saturday, December 21 at 4:30 pm, First Presbyterian Church of Rutherford will be hosting a Blue Christmas Service. The focus will be for people and families who are experiencing this season with a sense of sadness or struggle. They hope to provide a place of comfort, quiet and peace.

Slow Flow Yoga

Sunday, December 22nd at 9:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 1 E. Passaic Ave, Rutherford

Slow Flow Yoga is suitable for all ages and fitness levels with no prior experience in yoga or meditation necessary. The classes focus on strength & stretch utilizing the sun salutation series' and classic asana/positions.


The Slow Flow Yoga sessions are held in the Church’s spacious gymnasium. Child care is also available for the Sunday program at no charge. There is no charge for the program however a donation for the Rutherford Community Pantry is welcomed and appreciated.

Christmas Caroling on Park Ave

Sunday, December 22nd at 11:30 am at First Presbyterian Church, 1 E. Passaic Ave, Rutherford

Join the First Presbyterian Church in spreading the sounds of the season as they carol up and down Park Avenue. After services on December 22nd, they will meet for a brief rehearsal in the sanctuary to go over the caroling packets. After caroling through the town, they'll head back to church for hot cocoa and cookies.

Menorah Lighting and Gelt Drop

Sunday, December 22nd at 5:00 pm at Beth El, 185 Montross Avenue, Rutherford

First annual Menorah Lighting hosted by Jewish Meadowlands. Menorah lighting, fire truck gelt drop, music, hot drinks, latkes, and donuts too! Free admission and open to all.
