Councilwoman Christie Del Rey-Cone and Councilman Ray Guzman made an important surprise announcement at the Annual Baby Parade on Sunday, June 28th. As Diane Jones sat on the stage of the bandshell as one of the judges of the parade, Councilman Guzman and Councilwoman Del Rey-Cone read aloud a proclamation honoring Diane for her many years of volunteerism. Diane has been a Board of Education member for over twenty-five years, longtime volunteer at many events, including judging the Ragamuffin and Baby parades and has spent sixteen years reading stories to children as Mrs. Claus at the annual Holiday festival.

Diane can be seen sitting in the audience and stands supporting students of all ages throughout the school district at their plays, concerts, musicals, and sporting events. She supports the community in every way she possibly can and is proud to call Rutherford her hometown where she raised her children, helped raise her grandchildren, and continues to support all children.
