TIR: Why did you decide to join the Bowling team?

BF: I decided to join the bowling team because of my former teammate Blake Smith. Blake smith invited me to join a bowling league before the high school season and I ended up loving the sport bowling.

TIR: Last weekend, you broke the Bergen County Bowling Series record.  You completed a 1038 series in four games with a 260 average.  How are you feeling after this accomplishment?

BF: After bowling a new Bergen county record with a new high game of 288 I felt really happy that I got to do it my last year in high school and with the best team I could ever ask for.

TIR: To what do you attribute your success in bowling?

BF: Consistency is important in bowling because it requires repetition to build muscle memory and to refine my technique.  Also I have worked on my focus and my mental game so that I can stay calm and read the lanes correctly.

TIR: You are a Senior at Rutherford High School, what are your plans after graduation?  Would you like to continue bowling?

BF: I’m not really sure what I’m going to do after high school but I would like to continue bowling.  I might be going to college for bowling, if not I’ll join different leagues that are really competitive.
