On July 10, the MFL announced that this year’s season will be delayed until September 1st. After one month of practice, a regular-season of five divisional games will begin on October 3rd. On November 7th, the normal playoff schedule will resume and will culminate with the yearly Super Bowl being played on November 21st in Saddle Brook.
The following safety procedures will be put into place due to the COVID-19 virus:
Adult supervised hand cleaning prior to and after every practice and game
Players will fill out a questionnaire
Equipment will be wiped down with disinfectants
Players will bring their own water and have full water breaks between quarters
Post-game handshakes will now become verbal acknowledgments with no physical contact
Additional safety procedures will be added as the members of the MFL continues to work together to ensure the safety of all players, coaches, and their families. For updated information, please visit the MFL website here.
