Rutherford Day is back! Visit Lincoln Park on Saturday, September 20th, from 12-5 pm.

Table space is limited to Rutherford businesses and organizations only in order to keep it a truly Rutherford-centric atmosphere, and there are over 75 locals ready to showcase themselves!

“My favorite part of Rutherford Day is that it allows these businesses and organizations to be creative in how they interact with the public. I always encourage groups to think of a game or contest that allows them to connect with people attending the event and they never disappoint,” Public Information Officer Kim Bogosian said. “We have a great team of Borough employees who are eager to make this day as special as possible for residents. The Rutherford Education Foundation is returning with a dunk tank fundraiser ($5 for 3 balls), Felician University will host a Family Game Zone full of oversized lawn games and of course due to popular demand, last year’s scavenger hunt will return with prizes of Rutherford t-shirts and stickers.”

Beginning at noon, attendees will be treated to music from Rutherford Rock, School of Rock, Springfield’s Electric Luau, and All My Blues.

Saturday Farmers’ Market fans don’t fear, the Farmers Market will still take place that day, but will relocate to the northern end of Lincoln Park near the canon.

There will also be a beer garden and a variety of food vendors, including the Rutherford Fire Department’s Engine 2, which will be manning their grill, as well as multiple bounce houses for kids.

Mayor Frank Nunziato adds, “I look forward to this event every year, where we can provide a fun-filled day for our neighbors and friends while showcasing the best of Rutherford throughout the afternoon.  Then there is nothing better than closing out the day with a delicious dinner from one of our fine restaurants and live music from a great band.  I hope to see everyone there.”

The Borough would also like to thank the corporate sponsors who have contributed toward this event: PIA World Insurance and Vango Development, as well as The Williams Center and McManimon, Scotland & Bauman (MS&B). Thanks to BCB Bank Rutherford for sponsoring our Scavenger Hunt t-shirt prizes!

The Dining Out Grand Finale will also take place that night from 6-10 pm on Park Ave with music by the nation’s premier Springsteen tribute act, The E Street Shuffle (https://theestreetshuffle.com/), who will be on stage near The Terrace and Park Ave from 7-9:30 pm.
