On May 7th at the Spring County meeting, the Bergen County School Boards Association presented Mrs. Diane Jones with an award for 25 years of service as a Rutherford Board of Education trustee. Superintendent Hurley and fellow board trustees Sergio Alati, James Bogosian, and Christina Cole were happy to attend and support Mrs. Jones as Diane's incredible dedication to Rutherford schools and students was celebrated.
On May 9th, the Rutherford HS Robotics team competed against 12 other teams in this year's North Jersey Robotics Competition held at Passaic County Community College. They placed 1st in one of three challenges! Go Bulldogs!
Superintendent Jack Hurley was named Bergen County Superintendent of the Year! Mr. Hurley was recognized for leading academic initiatives and mentoring colleagues, among other contributions.
Rutherford High School recently published its literary magazine, Scribe. The magazine can be read here. This magazine combines the artistic and writing talents of RHS students.
The Rutherford High School Art Show took place on Wednesday, May 15th. There were many different types of artwork on display including drawings, paintings, ceramic and textile pieces, robots, and sweet treats made by the culinary classes at RHS.
The Union Middle School Art Show took place on Thursday, May 16th. Many art pieces, such as drawings, 3D designs, and others, were displayed throughout the school for students and families to view.
