On Monday, May 26th, the Rutherford Veterans Alliance sponsored and presented the Annual Memorial Day Parade. The parade started at Sunset Park and traveled up Union Avenue to Borough Hall.
Members of the Veterans Alliance, Mayor Frank Nunziato, Councilwoman Christie DelRey-Cone, Councilman John Errico, Councilman Ray Guzman, and Council President Stephanie McGowan, the Rutherford High School Marching Band, and Troop 166 participated in the parade.
Many others marched in the parade as well, including Pack 168, the Woman's Club of Rutherford, the Lions Club of Rutherford, Boiling Spring Lodge No. 152, Rutherford Elks Lodge #547, the Rutherford Congregational Church, the Rutherford Police Department, the Rutherford First-Aid Ambulance Corps, and the Rutherford Fire Department.
