Once again it is the time of year when families are trying to determine summer camp options for their children. Since there are many options in Rutherford and in the local area, This is Rutherford has compiled information about several camp options to help families consider their options.
Rutherford Recreation Summer Camp is open to Rutherford residents only and has camps for children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Residents must register through their RecDesk accounts. See the flyer below for more information.
Evolution Arts, a non-profit organization, offers a Summer Theater Camp in Rutherford. This year the camp is "Newsies, Jr.". The camp will run from July 8th through July 26th from

Code Wiz, located at 310 Union Ave, will also be offering summer camp options. Their camps will run from June until August. There are many different themed camps, including robotics, Roblox, Python, game and app design, etc. Please check their website to learn more and to register. There is also a QR code listed on the flyer.
RCDN, Rutherford Cooperative Day Nursery, located at 32 Ridge Road, has weekly camps that will run from June 18th until July 25th. To learn more about RCDN, click here. If you would like to register for this camp, use this form.
Painting on Park, located on 104 Park Ave, will offer weekly camps from June 24th through August 1st. To register, click here.
Bulldog Softball Camp will run for two weeks in July (July 8-11 and July 15-18). To register for this camp for girls entering grades 2nd through 9th, click here. This camp is for girls interested in "improving their abilities and developing into the best player possible".
Paint Zone, located at 8 Franklin Place in Rutherford, will offer weekly painting camps from July 22nd through August 9th for children ages seven and up. Click here to learn more about the camp and registration.
Backstage Performing Arts Center, located at 194 Park Ave, has a variety of camps to choose from throughout July and August. Camp choices include Hip Hop Intensive, Summer Dance and Theatre, Fairytale Princess Ballet, Acro Intensive, Pop Star Dance, and Summer Dance Intensive. Click here to find out more.
