Event Recap: Multicultural Festival 2022

This past weekend on September 9th and September 10th the Rutherford Civil Rights Commission hosted the Multicultural Festival at Lincoln Park in Rutherford. There were many different performances, including dance performances by Allegro Arts Academy, DeNogla Academy, Kulture Kool, and Zumba by Lorna Silvestri. Throughout the two-day festival, many musicians also performed on the bandshell stage, including Taiko Drummers-Biwanko, Bajah, Cubeye-Latin Jazz/ Salsa, and Dana McCurdy-Community in the Rhythm Drum Circle. Board members of the Rutherford Civil Rights Commission also spoke at the event and there was a poetry reading by Claudia Serea from the Rutherford Wheelbarrow Poets.
