On Monday, September 2nd, Rutherford hosted its 44th Labor Day Street Fair along Park Avenue and in Lincoln Park. There were many different antique, food, and specialty vendors set up along the avenue. A large number of community groups also set up tables at the event to educate Rutherford about the many volunteer opportunities and services available.
Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperative and there was rain throughout the day. The Rutherford Police Department made the difficult decision to end the event early due to thunderstorms that produced dangerous lightning. Despite the fact that the event ended early, those that attended were happy to support and attend the oldest Street Fair in the Garden State.
