Event Recap: JWCR 4th of July Sidewalk Chalk Contest

The Junior Woman’s Club of Rutherford hosted its 12th Annual Chalk Drawing Contest after Rutherford Recreation’s 4th of July Baby Parade at Lincoln Park. Children lined up along the sidewalk behind the bandshell to use sidewalk chalk to draw creative, patriotic drawings. Each participant paid $1 for a portion of the sidewalk to decorate. All proceeds benefit JWCR’s efforts to support local organizations.

Winners for ages 6 and under: 3rd Place- Karl Wallisch, 2nd Place - Cordelia Fischer, and 1st Place- Julia Bogosian.

Winners for ages 7 and above: 3rd Place- Eleri McGregor, 2nd Place- Sammit Acharjee, and 1st Place- Jenna Marieneli.
