Kip Center Festival of Trees

November 12 - December 14 at the Kip Center

55 Kip Center’s 25th Annual Festival of Trees, Wreaths and Centerpieces will begin Tuesday, November 12, 2019. A favorite tradition in the community, the Festival of Trees fundraiser is the perfect venue to enjoy a beautiful holiday display of trees, wreaths, and centerpieces that are decorated by local individuals, organizations and business.


Raffle tickets went on sale Tuesday, November 12th at 26 tickets for $10. The winning tickets will be pulled on Saturday, December 14th. For more information call Cathy 201.460.1600.

Advanced ESL

Saturday, November 30th, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Rutherford Public Library

Registration is required. For ESL students who are beyond the beginner level. Call 201-939-8600 to register.





St. Mary High School Christmas Market & Craft Fair

Saturday, November 30th at 10 AM – 3:30 PM, St. Mary High School, 64 Chestnut St, Rutherford

SMHS will host its Annual Christmas Market & Craft Fair on Saturday, November 30 from 10:00 AM until 3:30 PM. Over 35 vendors and crafters will be on hand to kick off the Christmas season! Admission is free!

Visit the Meadowlands Museum

Saturday, November 30th @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Meadowlands Museum is open every Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Come see where your history lives. Donation $5 adults, $3 children. 91 Crane Avenue, Rutherford, NJ 201-935-1175. www.MeadowlandsMuseum.com


The Museum is home to the largest collection of historical artifacts of the Meadowlands Region of NJ, and includes a special exhibit on Notable Women of the Meadowlands (on exhibit until September 2019), and permanent exhibits on the geology of the Meadowlands Region, antique toys and dolls, a pre-electric kitchen, antique tools, and an exhibit dedicated to the life and work of Dr. William Carlos Williams – the area’s famous doctor/poet. The Museum is housed in one of oldest Dutch farmhouses of southern Bergen County, and was a private home until the Museum purchased the property in 1974.

55 Kip Center Holiday Open House

Saturday, November 30th @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at 55 Kip Center, Rutherford

55 Kip Center’s Holiday Open House will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 11am – 3pm.

Craft Fair * Bake Shop * Gift Shop * Refreshments * Raffles


Rutherford's Annual Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting

Saturday, November 30th @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Rutherford Chamber of Commerce’s 69th Annual Holiday Parade will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 4 pm.


The parade participants will assemble at 3:00 pm at the intersection of Union Avenue and Springfield Avenue. The parade will begin at 4 pm and travel along Union Avenue to the reviewing stand in front of Borough Hall and exit on Donaldson Avenue.


The Parade Grand Marshall is Mr. Jimmy Rizzo of BCB Bank.


The Annual Tree Lighting will be held outside the Rutherford Public Library, following the Holiday Parade. The Holiday Village will be held in Lincoln Park, 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm.

Slow Flow Yoga

Sunday December 1st at 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM at First Presbyterian Church of Rutherford, 1 E Passaic Ave.

Sunday mornings at 9 am - Slow Flow Yoga is suitable for all ages and fitness levels with no prior experience in yoga or meditation necessary. The classes focus on strength & stretch utilizing the sun salutation series' and classic asana/positions.


The Slow Flow Yoga sessions are held in the Church’s spacious gymnasium. Child care is also available for the Sunday program at no charge.


There is no charge for the program however a donation for the Rutherford Community Pantry is welcomed and appreciated. fpcrutherford.org
