Rutherford Summer Camps

In an effort to keep the community informed about Summer Camp options in Rutherford, we are publishing this article. However, please note that due to the current pandemic situation it will be important to keep checking in with these small businesses regarding their registration deadlines and fees, as well as the dates during which camps will hopefully run.

Painting on Park (104 Park Avenue) will offer camps weekly (Mondays through Thursdays) throughout the entire month of July and the first week of August. Please visit their website for detailed information.

Theatre Enrichment for Children (TEFC) will offer their Summer Camp from July 27 through July 31st from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Rutherford Elks Lodge. Campers will have TONS OF FUN utilizing their unique ideas to make arts & crafts, play improv, team building games, and choreograph original dances! Campers will write, produce, design & rehearse an original TEFC revue personalized exclusively by them and culminating in a final performance for friends and family at the end of camp! Art Kids Academy will run their full day/ full week camps starting the last week of July and continuing during the first two weeks of August. Half-day options are also available. The camp will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on West Passaic Ave. For more information, please click here.

Kulture Kool's 8-week summer program offers a new theme every week. The Summer theater production this year is Alice in Wonderland. Enrollment is flexible with half-day, full-day options as well as before and aftercare. All camps are a mix of fun and enrichment and are taught by highly trained professionals. Rutherford Recreation will also be holding summer camps for different age groups. Currently, some of the locations might need to be re-evaluated due to the Referendum construction that will be taking place at many of the schools. Please refer back to the Borough website for changes in the information listed on the flyer.

Backstage Performing Arts Center has camp options available in August. These camps focus on a variety of themes and dance interests. Please visit their website for updated information regarding these camps.

Rutherford Summer Instrumental Music School will begin with an orientation on Monday, July 6th, instrumental lessons will begin on July 7th and camp will continue throughout the month of July. Summer Instrumental Music School will conclude with a concert performance at noon on July 30th and a Summer Band Party on July 31st.
